The Importance of Sleep
Many people know that sleep is significant and that feeling well-rested is an important part in our day-today lives. However, many people feel that they are unable to prioritize sleep and rest, and that they have trouble with falling asleep or finding the time to sleep.
Sleep plays a significant part in improving our well-being for many reasons; it is scientifically proven to help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and sleep is also known to help improve your memory and is scientifically proven to help improve your cognitive skills.
Below we have highlighted a link to the NHS website that illustrates the different ways to fall asleep:
I also wanted to draw your attention to a poster we have created which highlights the benefits of sleeping and making sure your body is well-rested.
The reason that we’ve attached a link that highlights the different ways to fall asleep and a poster demonstrating the benefits of being well-rested is because many of us in our day-to-day lives are unaware of just how beneficial sleep is and even if we are aware of the importance of sleep, many of us struggle to implement the recommended 7 hours of sleep a night. By highlighting the varying reasons that sleep is important and by attaching a link that illustrates the various ways to fall asleep, we hope that you find this forum to be beneficial in ensuring that you feel better rested.
