Dear Y3 students,
As you will soon be submitting your final dissertation, we wanted to once more draw your attention on the importance of avoiding plagiarism at all cost. You will know by now that QMUL takes offences of plagiarism very seriously, and every dissertation submitted online is automatically scanned for similarities by a powerful software (Turnitin).
The dissertation carries substantial weight in your overall course assessment, and you should not take any chance of jeopardising the work done so far. If you want to clarify in your head what is currently classified as plagiarism in the academic world and how to best avoid it, please check these presentation slides on the topic by Jonathan Kennedy from our Global Public Health Centre.
