Moving to on-line only teaching - PLEASE READ

Dear students

As you will realise there is now a very significant effort being made within our School to move as much (hopefully all) taught material to on-line. I am proposing to do the following:

Monday 16 and Friday  20th March: I will give my lectures as planned at Queen Mary. Thus the standard lecture capture will work as normal on those dates.

From 23 March onwards I will provide material (ppt plus some audio and video narrative) which will not unfortunately be interactive from your perspective.

I will enable on-line forums for shared discussions.

The assessment deadline date and method of submission is unchanged.

I also offer all of you an apology that I may miss the 15 work-day deadline to get your mid-term test marks returned. This is for two reasons. Firstly I am concentrating on material creation/upload for the module and secondly as head of School a huge amount of my time is now being devoted to School and University responses to this very challenging situation. I hope you will understand why this undesirable delay may occur, I will do my best to minimise it.

Peter Hobson
