We're holding our first spit clinic of the year! Upstairs in the Griffin, Stepney Way,  tomorrow (Wednesday 9th October). 11am-3pm.

Barts & QM Marrow is a student society linked to the Anthony Nolan Society to help save the lives of people with blood cancer by using its register to match them with volunteers willing to donate their blood stem cells.

Signing up initially would involve completing an application form, talking to our team about what it means to join the register and whether you’re suitable and giving a saliva sample which will be sent for testing- if you're later found to be a match you might then go on to donate stem cells.

Please come and sign up if you'd like to join the 2% who give a spit, and maybe save a life someday.  Also, if at all possible, please wait 30 minutes after eating, drinking or smoking before coming to spit :)

Learn more about the donation process here: http://www.anthonynolan.org/What-you-can-do/save-a-life/What-happens-if-you-are-a-match.aspx

You may find it helpful to first check if you fit within the medical exclusion criteria listed at http://www.anthonynolan.org/What-you-can-do/save-a-life/Medical-exclusion-criteria.aspx, since unfortunately not everyone is eligible to become a haematopoietic stem cell donor.

Thanks!
