Questions from last week's PASS session + timing for this week's session

Hi everyone,

Apologies to everyone who came to the PASS session last week thinking it was compulsory. It should have said "optional" on your timetables but there have been some glitches in QMplus this past week so it didn't show you the correct information. These sessions are for you to meet mentors on the same course as you to help you and guide you through the content and provide advice on exams and coursework. Both first and second year's at SBCS welcome!

Examples of some questions that were asked at last week's sessions and how we can help you are:

"What was the tissue biology exam like last year?"

"How helpful are the past papers in exam revision?" - answer: hugely useful, go through the MCQs for sure, many times they are repeated in their entirety, even when the module content has changed drastically over the years (hint: microbiology!!)

"How should we go about answering the essay questions in exams?"

If you have similar questions, please come to this week's session on Tuesday, 14th February, from 1-2pm at Bancroft 1.15 and we would love to help. Of course, you can leave as soon as your questions are answered so if you have lab at 2, don't let that stop you!

See you there!

Hira
