Description:

Many datasets consist of the times to an event of interest. Examples include the length of time machines run before a breakdown or the length of time people live after a heart attack. Often we will also be interested if a ‘treatment’, such as the type of oil used in the machine or the different doses of a drug, has an effect. Such data often has complications due to censoring. For example some machines may not have had a breakdown or people are still alive when the study comes to an end. In this project you will learn about some of the methods used to analyse such data and apply them to a suitable set of data.
