Title: The wave equation in 3+1 dimensions
Supervisor:
Research Area: Geometry and Analysis
Description:

In this project you will explore the general properties of solutions to the wave equation in 3+1 dimensions. In particular, you will see how to construct the general solution to the equation using Fourier transforms and will study the physical and mathematical properties of this solution. You will also compare the behaviour of this solution with the 2+1 case.
