Title: Synchronization of phase-coupled oscillators on complex networks
Supervisor:
Research Area: Complex Systems and Networks
Description:

The Kuramoto model is a paradigmatic model that gives account for the emergence of synchronisation in a population of coupled oscillators. The extension of the model to the case of oscillators coupled through complex networks has revealed interesting emerging phenomena.

In this project the student will reproduce some known results concerning the path to synchronisation in complex networks of Kuramoto oscillators, and will have the opportunity to explore also some variations to the original model.
