Title: Eigenvalue perturbation theory
Supervisor:
Research Area: Dynamical Systems and Statistical Physics
Description:

How do the eigenvalues of a matrix change, if the entries of the matrix are changed? This is an interesting question of practical importance, which, in spite of its comparatively long history, still offers unexplored areas. The aim of the project is to get acquainted with the basics of the theory and, if time permits, explore some uncharted territory.
