Title: Analytic aspects of modular forms
Supervisor:
Research Area: Algebra
Description:

Modular forms are complex analytic functions that are extremely important to modern number theory. The theory of modular forms have played an essential role in the solution of many important problems, such as Fermat's last theorem. This project will start from the basics and lead to some interesting questions. In particular, we will see how large a modular form can get.
