This project is suitable for a student who liked the Coding Theory module and would like to learn about codes built up using the properties of algebraic curves. Learning the basic algebraic geometry needed to study plane algebraic curves would constitute a substantial part of the project, but there is a possibility of experimentation and working with concrete examples.
