17.4. Examination Boards and Results

Your Results

Subject Examination Boards (SEB)

Once all your assessments have been completed, the Subject Examination Board (SEB) will consider your provisional results in full. The SEB will also take into account any recommendations made by the Extenuating Circumstances Panel and any relevant decisions from previous SEBs.

Degree Examination Board (DEB)

The SEB reports its provisional results and recommendations to the Degree Examination Board (DEB), which confirms the official final results, classifications, and awards.

Results are normally made available to both graduating and continuing students via MySIS shortly after the DEB has taken place.

Examination Board Timetable & Publication of Results
  • February: This SEB is held for students enrolled on the PgCert Intellectual Property Law (80 credits) programme. The Board considers assessment marks and takes into account any recommendations from the Extenuating Circumstances Panel.
  • March: The DEB meets to confirm results, classifications and awards arising from the February SEB.
  • June: The SEB meets to consider results from Semester 1 and Semester 2 assessments. Recommendations from the Extenuating Circumstances Panel are also considered. This SEB considers students enrolled on the Trade Mark Law and Practice Certificate Programme.
  • July: The DEB meets to confirm results, classifications and awards arising from the June SEB. 
  • September: The SEB meets to consider Semester 3 modules, resits and study project marks, together with recommendations from the Extenuating Circumstances Panel. This SEB considers students enrolled on the MSc in Management of Intellectual Property Law Programme. 
  • October: The DEB meets to confirm final results, classifications and awards arising from the September SEB.

Note: Any student in debt to the University at this time will not be permitted to receive their results.

Transcripts 

You can obtain your official digital transcript of marks through the HEAR system. You will receive an email at your QM email address from GradIntelligence with instructions to register.
