This module will introduce you to the principles of interpretive research practice and to a broad range of qualitative methods and methodologies. It will include opportunities for you to integrate your learning through a combination of: private study and reflection; group learning exercises; practical exercises; tutor-led face-to-face seminars; tutor-marked assignments.
The module provides essential grounding in qualitative methods with a focus on the application of qualitative approaches in health care settings. In combination with the other modules in the MSc we will ensure that you have the insights, knowledge and basic research skills to engage in interdisciplinary research for the benefit of patients, public, professionals and society.
