  • EViews is installed on all computers in computer labs.

    EViews is also available via the AppAnywhere platform for students who are enrolled in modules using EViews. The modules' lecturers will make access request on behalf of students in the classes.

  • For access to the current issues of the Financial Times, you need to register on your first visit. To do this:

        Find the link to Financial Times in the A-Z list of Databases.
        Log in with QMUL credentials.
        Complete the activation form using your institutional email address where prompted. You can opt in or out of communications from the FT.
        Once registered successfully, you can then access the ft.com by choosing sign in and entering your institutional email address.

  • About the service

    QMUL students can borrow DELL laptops from the self-service machine located on the ground floor at both Mile End Library and Whitechapel Library. There are a limited number of laptops and the service operates on a first-come first-served basis.

    Borrowing a Laptop

    To borrow a laptop you need your Student ID card and your Library PIN.

    Detailed instructions are shown on the screen of the laptop cabinet.

    Loan Duration

    Laptops can be borrowed for up to 72 hours. Chargers are available for loan from the Welcome Desk.

  • Stata is a powerful statistical software that enables users to analyse, manage, and produce graphical visualizations of data.

  • To access the Economist, choose Log in from the Economist site and select the Log in with SSO option. More information is in the FAQs.

  • Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) databases are available from their web site.
    Please register your own WRDS account on their web site. 
     
    Select Master / Undergraduate Student as the Affiliation Type 
     
    For Department enter School of Economics and Finance
     
    You MUST enter your QMUL e-mail in the format 'te12345@qmul.ac.uk'.... NOT  'j.smith@hss24.qmul.ac.uk'.
     
    During busy periods, the account approval process can take up to two weeks.

    Important Notice: Do Not Share Your Login Details

    Your QM account is provided for your personal academic use only. Sharing your login credentials with anyone, or accepting payment to provide access, is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) policy.

  • You can access Orbis Bank Focus through the library web site by following the steps below:

    1. Go to the QM library web site: https://library.qmul.ac.uk/

    2. Click "A-Z list of Databases" in the middle of the page.

    3. You will see BankFocus is listed there.


  • To access the database, create an account on their web site (www.globalfinancialdata.com) with your QMUL email address.

    Students, please use the format <loginID>@qmul.ac.uk, e.g  te12345@qmul.ac.uk.

    You should be able to access the data on any computers in the campus (you cannot access the data off-campus).

  • Mobility / Wireless Printing

    Send your documents to a QMUL printer from your laptop, smartphone, or tablet (anywhere with QM Eduroam Wi-Fi connection) and pick them up within 24 hours.

    1. Navigate to MyPrint or search myprint.qmul.ac.uk in your web browser and enter your Queen Mary username and password to login.

    2. From the left hand task bar, select BYOD / Non Managed.

    3. The operating system you are using will be automatically detected. However, if for any reason this is incorrect, please choose from the icons below.

    4. Select Download and run the Mobility Print application.

    5. When asked to, authenticate with your Queen Mary username and password and select Finish.

    The myprint on managedprint.qmul.ac.uk queue will now appear in your list of printers and will allow you to print to a HP printer direct from your device.
