    Semester B

    Two compulsory modules:

    • BUS280 Introduction to Marketing and Communication
    • MTH5120 Statistical Modelling I

    Choose two from:

    • MTH5005 Programming in Python II*
    • MTH5115 Linear Optimisation and Game Theory (previously called MTH5114 Linear Programming and Games)
    • MTH5126 Statistics for Insurance

    * Before taking MTH5005 you must have taken MTH4000.

    Year-long

    One compulsory module:

    • MTH5205 Professional Skills for Mathematicians (0 credits)

    Off-pathway modules

    Modules outside this pathway (normally a maximum of 15 credits) may be taken with School approval. Permission to select off-pathway modules will not be granted until the timetable is finalized in September 2024.

  • Year 3

    Semester A

    Two compulsory modules:

    • BUS359 Contemporary Strategic Analysis
    • MTH6102 Bayesian Statistical Methods

    Choose two modules from:

    • MTH6134 Statistical Modelling II
    • MTH6138 Third Year Project (may be taken in either semester)
    • MTH6151 Partial Differential Equations
    • MTH6154 Financial Mathematics I

    Semester B

    One compulsory module:

    • BUS324 The Management of Human Resources

    Choose three modules from:

    • MTH6101 Introduction to Machine Learning
    • MTH6110 Communicating and Teaching Mathematics (by approval in semester A)**
    • MTH6113 Mathematical Tools for Asset Management
    • MTH6138 Third Year Project (may be taken in either semester)
    • MTH6139 Time Series
    • MTH6142 Complex Networks

    ** Participation in MTH6110 is subject to a selection process which takes place during semester A. If you are not selected to take part in MTH6110, you will need to change your module choice at the start of semester B.

    Off-pathway modules

    Modules outside this pathway (normally a maximum of 15 credits) may be taken with School approval. Permission to select off-pathway modules will not be granted until the timetable is finalised in September 2024. Off-pathway Level 4 or 5 modules will not be permitted.
