    Welcome on board

    Welcome to the online induction area for the Educational Development taught programmes: Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) and Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT)!

    We hope that you find the information useful and please do get in touch if you still have any questions.  The most important things to take a look at are the two powerpoint presentations below: the Taught Programmes Introduction and ADP7116/ADP7216 Module Introduction, and the information from student records detailing how to set up your student account.

    We are looking forward to working with you on your programme and hope that you find it a useful and enjoyable experience!

  • Programme and first module induction information

    Please view the two powerpoint presentations below with induction information about the programme as a whole and the first module, ADP7116

  • ADP7116 Timetable January 2020

    • Your first module on the programme will be either:

      • ADP7116: Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (face to face delivery).  There are 7 2-hour seminars for this module, and there are 3 seminar groups to choose from - please see the module timetable here.  Please complete this google form to select your chosen seminar group.
      • ADP7216: Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (distance learning delivery).  There are 7 1-hour webinars for the module plus asynchronous activities you will complete in your own time.

  • Taught Programmes Handbook

    The full Taught Programmes Handbook is available to view on our website.  It includes full details of all our policies and procedures so do take time to have a look.

  • Useful forms

    • Below are some forms you might find useful during your time on the programme. 

    • Please complete the interruption form if you wish to temporarily interrupt your studies for any reasons. Please note you cannot interrupt within a single academic year; it must be at least until the start of the next academic year. Please send completed forms to adp@qmul.ac.uk and contact us if you have any questions.

    • If you wish to withdraw from the programme, please complete the form and send to adp@qmul.ac.uk.  Do get in touch to discuss your options if you wish to. 

    • If you wish to change your programme (i.e. from CILT to PGCAP), then please contact the Programme Manager to discuss first, before completing this form and returning it to adp@qmul.ac.uk

    • Please complete this form if you wish to make a claim for extenuating circumstances in relation to missed assessments, and non-submission of coursework, including extensions to coursework deadlines.  Please send completed forms with evidence to adp@qmul.ac.uk.  The deadline for claims for the June 2020 Exam Board is 5pm, 15 May 2020.
