This is a core module for all CS degree programmes in the School of EECS and offers the learning space for each individual student to make sense of their degree programme, their learning, CS as a research area and as a profession. The module will help you engage with current debates in the industry and academia (sustainability and social responsibility) while developing essential professional and study skills (technical thinking and writing, searching and evaluating online resources, group work, presentation and communication skills). Teaching and assessment consists of a combination of lectures, workshops, lab exercises, and coursework (there are no exams).
