The research module forms the core of the MSc programme, offering an immersive, year-long opportunity to undertake an original experimental or computational research project. MSc students work alongside academics and researchers on cutting-edge projects across organic, inorganic, physical, computational, materials, medicinal, pharmaceutical, or analytical chemistry.
Throughout the project, students develop high-level independence and practical expertise, working closely with their supervisor to define and execute their research project. Beyond hands-on laboratory or computational work, the module focuses on critical literature evaluation, rigorous data analysis, and professional scientific dissemination, preparing graduates with the advanced research skills and autonomy needed for a career in academia, industry or education.
