This will be the 26th training course organised by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the British Copyright Council. It is run in cooperation with Queen Mary University of London Centre for Commercial Law Studies and with the assistance of the UK’s Intellectual Property Office (IPO).

Featuring around 50 speakers over two weeks, the course provides a guide to the operation of copyright and related rights, both in law and in practice, here in the UK and in the context of European and international developments.

The course organiser is Elisabeth Ribbans who is on-site throughout, assisted during the course by Caroline Sterling and Joanna Pogonska. The session co-ordinators are Florian Koempel, a lawyer, academic, industry adviser and the BCC’s International Copyright Consultant, and Dr Gaetano Dimita, Senior Lecturer in International Intellectual Property Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London. Sharon Smith, the BCC’s Administrator, is responsible for participant and speaker liaison before the course.
