Completion requirements
Opened: Monday, 8 April 2024, 9:00 AM
Closed: Tuesday, 9 April 2024, 9:05 AM
This quiz assessment is available for a period of 24 hours, but once you start the quiz you will have two hours to complete it. If your attempt is still in progress at the 24-hour deadline, the answers you have filled in so far will be automatically submitted. In completing this assessment:
- You may use books and notes.
- You may use calculators and computers, but you must show your working for any calculations you do.
- You may use the Internet as a resource, but not to ask for the solution to an exam question or to copy any solution you find.
- You must not seek or obtain help from anyone else.
Moreover, this quiz
- is a quiz with a total of 10 questions, including multiple-choice and others where you will need to introduce your own code, similar to some quizzes you have been practicing over the last weeks,
- each question is worth 10 marks, for a total of 100 marks,
- some questions may be multiple-choice with only one possible correct answer. In these type of questions, you don't get any negative marks for an incorrect choice.
- some questions may be multiple-choice with more than one correct answer. In those questions you need to check all correct answers. Checking a correct answer gives you positive marks, checking an incorrect answer gives you negative marks, in a proportional way, such that checking all options gives you as many positive as negative marks, hence 0 marks. These questions are capped below at 0 marks, such that if you checked many incorrect choices your mark for the question cannot be negative.
- some questions require you to introduce some Python code. You can import any standard module that we have used in lectures, or any module specifically named in the question. The Coderunner embedded in QMPlus supports importing these modules.
NOTE: when submitting questions that ask you to enter code, they may appear "not complete" even though you have filled them in:
If you are bothered by this, please use the "Check" button below the text box into which you entered your code. Note that there will be a 50% penalty applied once you check your code more than four times. This penalty applies to each code question individually.
