Citation of a Thesis: Advice
A first reference to a thesis or dissertation should include the following information:
- Author's name (followed by a comma)
- Title of thesis (in single quotation marks, not italicised)
- Details of 'Production' (enclosed in parentheses):
- The degree level (prefaced by the word unpublished, followed by a comma)
- The name of the university (followed by a comma)
- The year of award
- Page number(s) (preceded by 'p.' or 'pp.'; followed by a full stop)
