What is the Echo Video app?
Echo Video (by Echo360) is a mobile app that gives access to lecture recordings and course videos provided through QMplus Media.
It allows students and staff to watch, review, and interact with lecture recordings on mobile devices.

What does it do?
Using the app, you can:
- Watch lecture recordings
- Download videos for offline viewing (where enabled)
- Take notes while watching
- Bookmark important moments
- Adjust playback speed
- Take part in interactive activities (if set by the lecturer)
For staff, it can also help you:
- Review your own recordings
- Understand how students access content

Sign in and QMplus access (important)
- Open the app
- Search for Queen Mary University of London
- Log in using your QMUL credentials
If you usually access Echo Video through QMplus, please note:
- If prompted, you may need to create a separate Echo Video password using your QMUL email address
- To ensure your activity is recorded correctly, you should open the Echo Video link in each QMplus module at least once using a web browser
Devices and compatibility
- Works on: Android, iOS, Windows, Kindle
- A web browser (on mobile or desktop) is still required for some features
- Older devices or operating systems may not be supported
Key limitations
Across all mobile apps
- Designed for viewing and interacting, not administration
- Administrator features are not available

Live-streamed lectures cannot be viewed in the app.
You must use a web browser (on mobile or desktop). Recordings can be viewed in the app once published.
Windows app limitations
The Windows app has reduced functionality and supports only:
- Basic viewing of recordings
It does not support:
- Q&A
- Notes or study guide
- Offline downloads
- Show/hide slides (for instructors)
