What Does an EchoVideo (Q-Review) Recording Look Like?

A typical EchoVideo (Q-Review) recording captures both the presenter and any content being displayed during the lecture.

In most teaching spaces:

  • The left-hand panel displays the presenter.
  • The right-hand panel displays presentation slides or other content being shown from the teaching room computer.

Depending on the room setup and teaching requirements, recordings can also be configured to:

  • Display a visualiser instead of the presenter video.
  • Capture only the presentation content without showing the presenter.
  • Use alternative recording layouts where appropriate.

Accessibility and Viewing Features

When viewing an EchoVideo (Q-Review) recording, students have access to a range of playback and accessibility features, including:

  • Captions, which display spoken content as on-screen text.
  • A transcript panel, allowing viewers to read the lecture alongside the recording.
  • The ability to search the transcript and jump directly to specific points in the recording.
  • Playback controls for pausing, replaying, skipping sections, and adjusting playback speed.

These features can help students revisit key concepts, review complex topics, and engage with lecture content in a way that suits their individual learning needs.
