RGS-IBG Geography Ambassador Training Day 05/06/2018
The RGS-IBG are running a training session for those who would like to become RGS IBG geography ambassadors on Tuesday 5th June at the RGS HQ in London (Kensington). This is for university students (undergrads and postgrads) who wish to sign up to become geography ambassadors. The scheme is a voluntary programme (travel costs are covered) designed to inspire school children about the merits of geography as a subject to study at school , at university and how it links to carer plans.
This is a fantastic opportunity to do adhoc interesting work which looks great on your CV. QMUL was the very first university to sign up to the scheme back in 2006 and Kate Amis, our school of Geography WP officer was the first manager of the scheme so it is very dear to our hearts and we should love it if lots of you get involved. You get to give out the famous ‘I love geography pencils ‘in the classroom!
Please get in contact with Gemma Athey, the scheme coordinator at the RGS -IBG if you would like to register for their day time training day on June 5th.
If you are interested but unable to make that day do get in touch with Gemma (firstname.lastname@example.org) and she can advise you of future training at later times in the year/ next academic yearThe flyer can be found here.
