1. Introduction

Dental surgery is by definition a surgical specialty. Skills that are required by some dentists will be very valuable. Certainly within OMFS  we will be looking at individuals to help support us, and in addition to provide suturing support for our emergency department colleagues.

This is not something to be concerned about, if you can  repair complex periodontal  reconstruction, you can certainly sew up a tear or laceration on a limb or  anywhere else in the body.

If you are delegated to  the emergency room, you will be given a lot of support. Certain dental school colleagues will align with OMFS  under our supervision.
