Introduction
1. Introduction
There is considerable movement almost on an hourly but hourly basis on who will staff what and who will do what within the hospital.
Whilst we face a considerable challenge, and you will be thinking that you will not be able to deliver.
This is simply not true.
Within oral and maxillofacial surgery we have as a group roughly 80 years experience in training dentists to be ward doctors, and we can assure you that you will be fine.
The educational material that you will see within this course are a mixture of trust documents, our personal files which have been made into videos, curated YouTube videos and text.
It is obviously been prepared in a hurry, whilst clinically busy, and if it appears a little bit rough around the edges then please excuse.
However it is a DYNAMIC website and changes every day.
We have tried to make it relevant, inevitably there are some topics which are more sophisticated. We have also included some video for interest.
Special note and thanks must be made to Andrew Sadler and Leo Cheng who have Kindly agreed to allow us to use some of the chapters and their excellent book DENTIST ON THE WARD - which I bought on Kindle for 9 pounds this morning.
We also thank John Buchanan for his input.
